A few educationalists in Bhartiya Shikshan Prasarak Sanstha, Ambajogai, understood that 'education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world'. And with this understanding Shri. Siddheshwar Mahavidyalaya, Majalgaon had been started on 15th June 1996. The name of the college has been decided by a famous gramdevta name Lord Shri. Siddheshwar in Majalgaon.
Our college is affiliated with Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad. It conducts graduation courses leading to the Bachelor's degree in Arts, Commerce, and Science streams and a Master's degree in Marathi. College is successfully reaccredited in 2009 and in 2016 with a 'B' grade from National Accreditation and Assessment Committee, Bangalore. In addition, the college has achieved an 'A' grade in Academic and Administrative Audit by the parent university. The government of Maharashtra appreciated the NSS unit of our college as the Best NSS unit.
The motto of the college organization is ||केल्याने होत आहे रे| आधीं केलेंची पाहिजे|| and with this intent the institution is organizing the various co-curricular and extracurricular events for the holistic development of students. College is organizing many skill-based and value-added courses continuously. Students are encouraged to participate in various competitions and training organized by the parent university and various colleges.
We motivate undergraduate students of all faculties to research attitudes during graduation. The college provides research facilities for Ph.D. students in the subjects: Economics, Sociology, Political Science, History, Marathi, Hindi, Zoology, Botany, and Physics. As well, the college is well known for excellent examination results.
Vidyasabha, the think tank of the institution design and implements the year plans for teaching-learning. The teaching-learning process is partially ICT enabled with an audio-visual facility. All the curricular, co-curricular, and extra-curricular activities of the college aim to develop the holistic personality of learners and aim towards making healthy and moral citizens.
College staff has started a scheme of college funds to help economically backward students and bring them into the stream of hassle-free education.
The college begins with the national anthem and any program is concluded with the shanti mantra or Pasaydan, which reflects the name of the institution.
